Komatsu "X-Treme Precision"

Komatsu, a major player in construction machinery & vehicles, is well known for its powerful, huge construction machines. In Belgium they have surprisingly few costumers. In fact, in Belgium, they are only 5 companies big enough to be key prospects. So, wich sort of mail can you do to only 5 companies. Komatsu wanted to increase the awareness of their range of precision machinery. They hired the Komatsu stuntteam. For their 5 key prospects they would do something they never tried before: send them a direct mail in envelope. This is how it works: prospect receives an envelope with nothing but a web link inside: www.komatsu.eu/nameoftheprospect. When he types this into his browser, a movie opens. In this movie he can see how the envelop he just opened is carried by a big Komatsu construction machine. The machine drives to his - clearly recognizable - company and drops the envelop in his mailbox. Pay off dear mister 'prospect', if you need extreme precision, just give us a call. All 5 key prospects are now good Komatsu clients. That's a 100% score.

Bosch Lawn & Garden "Lawnmower Calendar"

To get selected dealers and distributors excited about the new, special high-performance, battery-operated Bosch Rotak 43 LI lawn mower - with the help of an exceptional calendar. Every page in the calendar is cut in a special way to initially create the individual impression of a wild and untended lawn. The recipient becomes part of the action and tears off a calendar page every day. By doing this, he is actually continuing to 'mow' day by day and so, bit by bit, he has a perfectly cut lawn in front of him at the end of the year. It's an authentic and unique mowing experience, because the width of the calendar corresponds exactly to the width of the lawn mower. Thanks to its surprising idea, the calendar quickly became a coveted collector's item. Since its publication in the middle of December 2007, the battery-operated Bosch lawn mower has been a topic of conversation within the national German dealer network. Bronze Direct Lions Winner.

Stihl "Coupon"

To promote Stihl professional chainsaws, they put a coupon and an actual chainsaw on a billboard. After a couple of weeks, they added a performance element: a guy showed up one morning, cut out the coupon and left with it. The board then stayed up with the hole in it.

Bosch "The Calendar Schredder"

To create an impactful calendar for selected retailers and the internal Bosch sales organisations in order to generate excitement for the product launch of the new Bosch garden shredders. To experience the outstanding performance of the garden shredders, recipients of the calendar were given the chance to do some shredding themselves, every day of the year, which will also ensure that Bosch garden shredders stay on their mind, every day of the year. The unusual dimensions (200 cm wide by 50 cm high) and the original way that people could interact with the calendar meant that it quickly became a highly desirable collector´s item, was talked about and the focus stayed on Bosch garden shredders.

Bosch "Srews"

To develop a high-impact idea for a mailing which would get Bosch retailers, employees and suppliers excited about the long battery life of the company’s li-ion cordless screwdrivers. To show how Bosch li-ion cordless screwdrivers can be used 365 days a year, we wrote to the target group and sent them a highly unusual calendar: a 42 x 59 cm wooden board with 365 screws in it.
